From what I understand, NYC actually has some really awesome farmers markets. I think the problem is that it’s only open limited hours. The “country” is only located about 45 minutes north of the city people should be getting some pretty fresh food. I don’t know much about the markets though since I didn’t live in NYC and when I worked there I wasn’t at all interested in fresh, local food as I am now. Hope you’re having a great trip!
