We have such beauty in the wildflowers that grow along our roadsides, so it upsets me that our politicians have not seized the opportunity to keep our roadways natural instead of paying so many $$$$$ to spray killing our pollinators too.
The $$$ would be better spent on repairing the roads than all the mowing and spraying. Repairing would give our workers more productive jobs where mowing and spraying puts them and us all at risk.
Our children learn that carpet green is the way our roads should look. Control of vegetation to prevent an accident is understandable and can be accomplished by dutting only when it blocks the view of drivers. We need leaders with foresight to make the change!
One thing I like about living in a small town is that my voice CAN be heard.
